On the day two years ago, on March 12, 2020, the news came that Contest Leeuwarden would not take place. That makes it extra special to be in Sporthal Kalverdijkje today with more than forty CGN groups. All classes are represented on this Saturday in the North.
As usual, we see a lot of participants in the youth classes in Leeuwarden. Fortunately, we are continuing that tradition this year. After all, youth is the future of our activity. And how good it is to see that there is so much future in CGN.
The day is divided into three blocks. In the morning the enthusiastic colorguard youth groups, then the live music of Percussion and Winds and we end the day with even more spectacle in the Colorguard Regional A-, A-, Open- and World-Class.
Throughout the day you see a big smile on all faces, from the floor crews to the jury team. But it's up to that team to make this season a competition and give each participant a score. It creates tension in different classes. In several Colorguard classes the difference is sometimes only a few tenths, in a few cases even a few hundredths. But also in IPC and Winds, where we only see one group in each class today, which of course tries to score as well as possible.
All scores can be found here. The images can be found as soon as possible in the CGN Video Vault.
It means that it will certainly be about something during the CGN Championships, the final of this short, but intense CGN season 2022. Tickets for that event on Saturday 26 March are still available in the CGN Ticketshop.
