In the first broadcast of the 2021 online season, CGN announced that the Championships event on Sunday 2 May will be expanded. There will also be an official championship competition that day for Individuals, Ensembles and Challenges. The biggest competition of this special season thus gets the closure it deserves. Registration is now possible via the CGN Intranet
The name of the event is now changed to the CGN Global Online Championships 2021.
The online Individuals and Ensembles competition is already a great success. More than 60 acts have registered for the event on Saturday 3 April.
"Therefore, we thought it was only just to organize a real final round for this competition form as well," says Edwin Beens, Technical Director colorguard at CGN. "A Championships always evokes a special kind of tension, a drive to give just that little bit more. We expect that this will also work for the participants in this online form."
In many countries, the current measures surrounding the pandemic make it difficult to put on a show with a group in a gym. Those who still want to be active within the possibilities can now opt for an individual or ensemble act. Not just because it is on your own or with a small group. You can also choose to rehearse outdoors, in the park or a square. "You can even tape your recording outside if you want," Edwin explains further.
The same goes for the Challenges, an exciting new form of competition where you can have any number of performers on a field and who are not required to move around but can perform their hearts out in their own spot.
All explanations and conditions about the CGN online competition can be found on this page. Want to know how to register? Then start here.
