A special clinic during the Clinic Day on February 23 is that of Adrés Barragán, a Colombian musician, conductor and composer/arranger who is currently studying at the Conservatory in Amsterdam. His session focuses on differences and similarities in the Marching and brass band activities in South America and Europe.

The 28-year-old Andrés Mauricio Barragán Jerez is currently studying Conducting Concert and Brass band in Amsterdam. He was born in Facatativá, Colombia and already has an impressive resume full of performances in symphony orchestras and show bands, as well as a Bachelor's degree in music from the Central University of Bogotá. This talented musician, composer and conductor is well on his way to making a name for himself in the music world. His skills on the piano and flute, combined with his experience in genres ranging from Latin to jazz, make Andrés a versatile musician.
Since his youth, Andrés has been active as a principal flutist in various symphony and show bands in Colombia. His career has included performances and recordings for various educational institutions and independent projects. In addition, he has received recognition for his compositions and arrangements, including a prize for the best interpretation and arrangement of "Feria de Manizales". He is also the founder of the Barragán Big Band, and has worked as a musical director and arranger for various bands and projects.
Despite his many achievements, Andrés remains modest. He is not only passionate about music, but also about sharing his knowledge and experience with others. As a teacher at various schools and as a speaker at musical events, he inspires the next generation of musicians.
