Associations are also given the opportunity to donate

Ticket buyers have recently been given the opportunity to donate the cost of their tickets to CGN. From now on, this is also an option for the associations. They can donate all or part of their registration fee. If they choose to do so, they will become members of the CGN United Fund 2020.

Due to the corona crisis, many government-ordered events have already been canceled, including the Leeuwarden contest and the CGN Championships. An unsatisfactory end to the 41st CGN season.
But not only CGN was badly hit by the cancellation, but the groups also saw the peak of the season becoming unreachable.
Moreover, most associations themselves are also directly affected by the corona crisis: performances are canceled, rehearsing together is not possible. This also has financial consequences for them.

Nevertheless, a number of associations realize that the future of CGN also determines their own future. And that a stable organization for their competition is essential. One of the associations that donates their registration fee is The Pride from Huizen.
This is, of course, a great gesture that we as CGN are very happy with. Especially if you realize that The Pride has also had a lot of bad luck themselves because their trip to the USA could not continue. There they would participate in the WGI World Championships. This makes their gesture extra special.

It is proof that we make the activity together with the audience AND the groups. If you look at the list of the CGN Friends Fund 2020, you will already see many names of donors.
We hope that the list of the CGN United Fund 2020 will soon fill up with associations that choose to donate their registration fee (or part of it) to CGN.

Each association is of course completely free to make its own choice. CGN is equally grateful to everyone for their participation.

Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie

CGN staat bekend om haar pioniersmentaliteit zowel op artistiek gebied maar ook op het gebied van ondersteuning aan de activiteit. Al vanaf het begin investeert CGN in zoveel digitalisering van haar ondersteuning en haar processen. In de periode 2021-2024 heeft CGN een ambitieus investeringsplan opgesteld waarbij er verder wordt geïnvesteerd in o.a. een platform voor online educatie en competitie, aanschaf van 20 nieuwe generatie tablets ter verdere professionalisering van de juryteams, aanschaf van een aantal laptops, vervanging van het reeds 10 jaar oude intranet en de aanschaf van software voor de bedrijfsvoering en organisatie van evenementen. Deze professionaliseringsslag zou zonder de bijdrage van het Fonds voor Cultuurparticipatie onmogelijk zijn.
